On March 9, the president and CEO of MyM – Mecanizados y Montajes Aeronáuticos, Domingo Ureña, participated as a speaker at the panel discussion “Next Generation and Public Funds: keys to accessing aid” held within the conference “Public financial support. The current situation of Next Generation funds” organized by CESUR after its Ordinary General Assembly.
The round table discussion, which took place at the Cajasol Foundation in Seville, in which Ureña participated, was moderated by Rafael Ripoll, Of Counsel at Andersen, and, in addition to the CEO of MyM, Santiago Fernández, partner at Andersen, and Macarena Gutiérrez, general financial director of Atlantic Cooper, also took part.
Throughout the colloquium, the participants talked about Next Generation Funds and public funds as the keys to accessing aid. When it came to addressing the main problems faced by companies, each of the members of the round table discussed some of the administrative obstacles that hinder the management and processing of grants.
In this sense, Domingo Ureña highlighted the important challenge that companies are currently facing after the crisis and the slow economic recovery. Ureña has indicated that “at present, we are facing a situation where in the financial support or the support that the government can give you through the European Community or through the Plans that each of the governments have, what I see is an absolute lack of coordination between a central body and an autonomous body. Sincerely, I see that we are not very coordinated. We return 60% of the aid that is generated and my question is: do we entrepreneurs in Spain not know how to establish projects or make growth plans?“.
