From June 28 to 30, 2023, the 10th edition of the Manufacturing Engineering Society International Conference (MESIC) will be held at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería (ETSI) of the University of Seville and will count with the participation of Dr. Fernando Mas, CTO of M&M Group, as plenary speaker with the presentation From Document-centric to Model-centric: using Models for Industrial Design in the Aerospace Industry.
Together with Dr. Mas, Prof. Paulo A. F. Martins, from the Instituto Superior Técnico of the University of Lisbon (Portugal), and Prof. Francisco Chinesta, from the Arts et Métiers Institute of Technology (France), will participate as plenary speakers.
M&M Group’s CTO also participates in the work Implementation of a Test Plan Ontology for Incremental Sheet Metal Forming made with Models for Manufacturing (MfM) Methodology together with Dr. Domingo Morales (University of Seville).
Dr. Mas will also be part of the scientific committee of this international event that aims to create forums for the exchange of experiences between researchers, professionals and teachers in the field of Manufacturing Engineering.
But not only Dr. Mas will represent M&M in the program of the event: Guzmán Domínguez, head of the Surface Engineering Area will share two communications, A preliminary geometrical characterization of surface scratches on aluminum alloys used in the aerospace industry and A prototype of the Digital Twin of an Aerospace Industrial production line, while Diego Gómez, head of the Metal Forming Technologies Research Area, will talk about Localized necking prediction in AA7075-O sheets formed under non-proportional stress/strain conditions.

It should be remembered that MESIC was born under the umbrella of the Manufacturing Engineering Society (MES-SIF) as a biennial event of international scope, and is organized by the Manufacturing Process Engineering Group of the University of Seville, under the coordination of Professors Carpóforo Vallellano and Gabriel Centeno.
Building on the success of previous meetings and in collaboration with the Society for Manufacturing Engineering (SIF), this 10th edition will feature an extensive technical and lecture program, as well as a cultural program.
M&M Group is one of the sponsors of this event together with other companies such as Airbus.
