On November 22, the Spanish Hydrogen Association (AeH2), of which M&M Group is a member company, held in Madrid a day of celebration of the twentieth anniversary and in which the Cadiz company participated.

The day was divided into two parts: the first, more institutional, was the presentation of Javier Brey, president of the AeH2, and Galo Gutíerrez, director general of Industry and Small and Medium Enterprises of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism, who reviewed the milestones of both the association and the Administration to promote the development of hydrogen in Spain. In this sense, Brey pointed out that “when we started the AeH2 we were clear that hydrogen was the future. Now we are clear that the future is today.

Also, in this first part of the day, the Center for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI) and the State Research Agency gave an overview of the funding mechanisms available for hydrogen. The IEA Hydrogen TCP and Women in Green Hydrogen programs were also presented.

On the other hand, the second part of the event included two work sessions attended by María José Marente, H.O. R&D Special Projects of the Technology and R&D area, on behalf of M&M Group, together with about twenty members of other companies, technology centers and entrepreneurs associated with the AeH2.

During the first session, each participant had a few minutes to present the company and the projects and work related to hydrogen, before moving on to a second session in which they talked about R & D and a subsequent debate on the subject that dealt with the lack of training on hydrogen at all educational levels, but especially in PT; public funding: current types of aid and needs and demands of the sector; and equipment supplies regarding the supply of technology R & D in Spain.

“This meeting with representatives of the development of the entire hydrogen value chain in Spain serves as a forum in which we have been able to learn in greater depth, and from other perspectives in addition to the innovation that we develop in M&M Group, how a sector, the hydrogen sector, which has ceased to be a source of the future to become, as Javier Brey points out, in the present,” said Marente.
