The University of Seville and Andalucía Aerospace have signed on July 11th an agreement by which the University of Seville joins the cluster of which M&M Group is a partner company. The vice-rector of Knowledge Transfer of the University of Seville, Manuel Felipe Rosa Iglesias, and the general director of Andalucía Aerospace, Juan Román Gallego, have signed the agreement of adhesion of the US to the Andalucía Aerospace cluster as an academic partner, in order to facilitate the development of possible projects and joint activities in the area of scientific research and innovation applied to the business field and the development of entrepreneurship in the aerospace sector.

The adhesion agreement establishes the commitment of both institutions to collaborate in activities of experimentation, dissemination, training or demonstration of research results in the aerospace sector. Both entities have shown their interest in developing joint research, innovation and dissemination projects in the aerospace sector. They will also work to promote the transfer of knowledge and scientific results from the University of Seville to the productive sector.

As a result of this adhesion, both entities will jointly present, together with other associated companies of the cluster, a project for the AEI (Grouping of Innovative Entities) linked to the New Space sector.

Likewise, the activities developed will have a place in the future UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) and UAM (Urban Air Mobility) Innovation Center being planned by the US, as well as in the US – Air Force Chair.

The University of Seville, through its Secretariat for Knowledge Transfer and Entrepreneurship, promotes University-Business collaborations, especially in the RIS4 sectors in Andalusia, such as the aerospace sector.

It is worth remembering that, in addition to belonging to Andalucía Aerospace, M&M Group maintains a close research collaboration with the US: our CTO, Dr. Fernando Mas, as well as several members of the Technology and R&D team, such as Lucía Recio or Fernando Pascual, are researchers at the University of Seville. In the case of Pascual, he is also developing an industrial thesis co-supervised by our company.
