Andalucía TRADE promotes the internationalization of the Andalusian aerospace cluster in the Paris Air Show-Le Bourget, which will take place from 19 to 25 June at the airport of Le Bourget (France), and is considered the largest international fair of the sector held in Europe. The Junta de Andalucía thus reinforces the presence of this strategic sector for the community, which was the one that contributed most in 2022 to the increase in exports from Spain, with 2,134 million euros of sales abroad and 39% more than the previous year.

Likewise, the Business Agency for Transformation and Economic Development has organized the attendance of seven companies from Seville and Cadiz at the Andalusia stand, which will have an extensive business agenda with B2B meetings and various networking activities, with the aim of promoting strategic, technological and commercial alliances, and identifying potential partners to participate in R&D&I projects at European and international level.

The institutional presence at Le Bourget will be led by the Minister of Economy, Finance and European Funds and president of Andalusia TRADE, Carolina España, on June 22, where she will present the new edition of Aerospace & Defense Meeting- ADM Seville 2024, along with BCI Aerospace, the French company with which the Board organizes the event. In addition, it will develop a wide agenda of contacts with international agents of the sector.

The seventh edition of ADM Seville, which has established itself as the most important business event of the aerospace sector in southern Europe, will celebrate its twelfth anniversary on 14 and 16 May, with the aim of further exploring the opportunities of the aerospace industry, in which Andalusia remains the second national exporting community, with 4 out of every 10 euros sold by Spain (42% of 5,141 million), only 0.8 points behind the Community of Madrid (2,174 million).

After four years without holding this biennial event, the organization of the Paris-Le Bourget International Air and Space Show plans to exceed the figures of the last edition of 2019, which received 139,840 professional visitors and 185 official delegations and had a total of 2,453 exhibitors from 49 exhibiting countries.

ANDALUSIAN COMPANIES

The Andalusian companies that will participate in this international business meeting within the Andalusian stand are Sevilla Control, Skylife Engineering, Aerotecnic Metallic, UMI Aeronáutica, Indaero and Sofitec, all from Seville, and M&M, from Cádiz.

Likewise, outside the space organized by Andalucía TRADE, firms from the Andalusian cluster, such as Aciturri-Alestis (Seville), Aernnova (Seville) and Aertec (Malaga), will also attend.

ANDALUCÍA TRADE WITH THE AERONAUTICAL SECTOR

Andalucía TRADE has organized for this year a total of 15 specific internationalization actions for the aeronautics and space sector, among which we can highlight, in addition to this event, the last Aerospace Meeting held in Seville with 29 Andalusian companies and agents from six countries; the direct trade mission to India, held in May, with eight companies; or those planned for the United Kingdom, Morocco and Germany, for the remainder of the year.

This is a program coordinated from Andalucía TRADE with the Andalucía Aerospace cluster, and are part of the agreement recently signed by the Minister of Economy, Finance and European Funds, Carolina España, in her capacity as president of Andalucía TRADE, and the president of Andalucía Aerospace, Antonio Gómez Guillamón, to promote the international activity of the Andalusian aerospace industry. An agreement through which Andalucía Aerospace became a collaborating entity of Andalucía TRADE for internationalization actions.
