On 24th March, Mélanie Durth, PhD, head of R&D and Projects at the Andalucía Aerospace business cluster, to which M&M Group belongs, visited the facilities of the Cádiz-based business group in Tecnobahía.

The Technology and R&D team, led by Fernando Mas, PhD, had the opportunity to present to Dr. Durth the innovation projects that M&M Group is currently working on, such as AutoTreat, which aims to develop an intelligent control unit for anodising rectifiers. This equipment will be able to adjust the process parameters automatically according to the coating characteristics desired by the user (in terms of roughness, thickness and porosity).

Dr. Durth explained that Andalucía Aerospace is an innovative business cluster, which enables it to obtain funding calls for R&D projects for cluster members. In addition, both organisations looked for common areas of work and synergies with the intention of jointly bidding for new R&D projects.

It should also be noted that in 2022, M&M Group received the Innovative SME seal of approval from the Ministry of Science and Innovation, awarded to small and medium-sized companies with a strong innovative character. In addition, at the beginning of 2023, M&M Group was registered in the electronic register of Agents of the Andalusian Knowledge System (SAC) as an Accredited Technological Knowledge Agent (ACTA) with the registration number AC0284ACTA.

Both recognitions are a new sign of M&M Group’s firm commitment to research and innovation in the aerospace and industrial sector.
