The 10th edition of the International Conference of the Manufacturing Engineering Society (MESIC) took place from June 28 to 30, 2023 at the School of Engineering (ETSI) of the University of Seville, an event that was sponsored by the M&M Group, with its active participation in the program of the event.
Thus, the CTO of the Cadiz company, Dr. Fernando Mas, was part of the scientific committee of this international event and was a plenary speaker with the presentation “From Document-centric to Model-centric: using Models for Industrial Design in the Aerospace Industry”. Dr. Mas is also co-author of the paper “Implementation of a Test Plan Ontology for Incremental Sheet Metal Forming made with Models for Manufacturing (MfM) Methodology” presented by his colleague and co-author Dr. Domingo Morales (University of Seville).
Guzmán Domínguez, head of the Surface Engineering Area, shared the papers “A preliminary geometrical characterization of surface scratches on aluminum alloys used in the aerospace industry” and “A prototype of the Digital Twin of an Aerospace Industrial production line”, while Diego Gómez, head of the Metal Forming Technologies Research Area, spoke on “Localized necking prediction in AA7075-O sheets formed under non-proportional stress/strain conditions”.
It is also worth mentioning the presence and participation of researchers Dr. Osiris Canciglieri Junior and Dr. Anderson Luis Szejka, director and researcher, respectively, of the Postgraduate Program in Industrial and Systems Engineering (PPGEPS) of the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná (PUCPR) in Brazil, with whom M&M Group collaborates closely through a scientific and technological exchange and cooperation program.
MESIC was born under the umbrella of the Manufacturing Engineering Society (MES-SIF) as a biennial international event, and is organized by the Manufacturing Process Engineering Group of the University of Seville, under the coordination of professors Dr. Carpóforo Vallellano and Dr. Gabriel Centeno.
