MyM Group has been one of the two finalists in the Industria Conectada 4.0 award for SMEs, which was awarded during the III Congress on Connected Industry, held in Madrid on November 12, 2019. The award was presented by the Minister of Industry, Trade and Tourism, Ms. María Reyes Maroto Illera, who was accompanied by the Secretary General of Industry and Small and Medium Enterprises, Mr. Raúl Blanco Díaz. Mamen Vergeles, our Head of Transformation, received the award.

Mamen thanked in a short speech the collaboration of everyone in the company to achieve a necessary transformation for M&M, and the support of the management to achieve these objectives. She also thanked the Ministry for the award and Guadaltech for the technical support throughout the process.

The award is a powerful recognition of the efforts of all those working in MyM to implement a new way of connected work that will allow the company to opt for more ambitious work packages. If one thing became clear at this Congress, it is that companies that do not “jump on the bandwagon” of Connected Industry 4.0 will find it very difficult to survive in the coming years.

The Congress offers a multitude of opportunities to establish contacts with companies that are of interest to us, and in particular, MyM will be present in two forums. One on the digitization of industry beyond 2020, organized by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism, and a second on SMEs: overcoming the digital divide, confidence in cybersecurity, organized by AENOR.

In this edition, the guest country is South Korea, one of the economic powers in Southeast Asia, and one of the countries that have bet more on digitization as a driver of its global competitiveness.
