On February 23rd, the 1st Aerospace-Ferroviario-Naval Cluster Meeting was held at the Aerópolis Science and Technology Park, organized by Andalucía Aerospace, Cadiz Naval Maritime Cluster and Railway Innovation Hub, with the participation of Rogelio Velasco, Minister of Economic Transformation, Industry, Knowledge and Universities of the Regional Government of Andalusia. During his speech, Velasco defended the role of clusters to boost competitiveness and promote innovative and export potential.

For his part, the president of Andalucía Aerospace, Antonio Gómez-Guillamón, assured that “the diversification of the sector is fundamental for its growth”, while José Luis García-Zaragoza, president of the Cadiz Naval Maritime Cluster, emphasized that “this meeting has a very clear objective: that we get to know each other and share knowledge and experiences”. In this sense, Laura Tordera, president of Railway Innovation Hub, pointed out that “we want to have an open innovation model, it is important for us to collaborate with other clusters and with the industry”.

The meeting was attended by more than 100 people, representing different companies from these three sectors that are so important for the industry and the economy of Spain and Andalusia. Among them was MyM – Mecanizados y Montajes Aeronáuticos (member of both Andalucía Aerospace and the Naval Maritime Cluster of Cádiz), represented by its general manager, Luis Pizarro, together with Francisco Cabello and Javier Cantero, from the Commercial Department.
