On February 25, the Technology and R&D team of MyM Group held a technical meeting at its Tecnobahía headquarters with Prof. Pedro Arroyo, a retired Airbus professional, specialist in aerospace materials.
Arroyo has an extensive professional career in which he worked as “Senior Expert in Metallic Materials & Processes” at Airbus, also serving as an associate professor at the University of Seville, president-coordinator of the National Aeronautical Committee of NDT, president of the Andalusia Committee of the Spanish Association of Non Destructive Testing and the National Governing Board, among other positions.
Our team was able to learn first-hand about the extraordinary professional experience, mainly associated with research, of Prof. Arroyo, a pioneer in our country in the creation of internal standards for the forming process at Airbus. He also discussed subjects of interest in the research developed by MyM Group such as aerospace materials (typical aluminum alloys and new generations of materials) or the applicability of additive manufacturing in the field of aerospace repairs. Other topics discussed were superplastic forming as well as in-service failure diagnosis.
