Aerospace and Defense Meetings-ADM Seville 2022 has reached 198 registered companies from 24 countries with one week left for its celebration, which will take place between 7 and 9 June in Fibes, in 100% face-to-face and professional format, as reported by Extenda-Andalucía Exports and Foreign Investment. These outstanding participation figures reflect the interest aroused in the global industry this event, widely consolidated in its tenth anniversary as the most important in southern Europe to explore business opportunities and trends in the aerospace industry, and in which M & M Group will participate (stand G6).
In this sense, the latest registration data for the sixth edition of ADM Seville counts, among the two hundred participants, up to 151 firms registered as exhibitors, of which 66 come from other countries, while 47 have registered as contractors, 30 of them also based in foreign markets, which reinforces the international character of the event and its strength as a meeting place with contractors, key players in the industry with which companies can do business.
With this, ADM Seville is configured as the business event of reference for the aerospace and defense sector in Spain, and the one with the largest participation in southern Europe. Its objective is to increase the turnover of the Andalusian and Spanish aerospace cluster, and its growth opportunities in the civil, military and space branches, establishing Andalusia as a key point in the global business circuit of the aerospace industry.
The event takes place precisely when the 2022 export figures begin to point to a revival of the aerospace business, which Andalusia is taking advantage of by leading exports of this industry in Spain (46%), with a year-on-year growth in sales of 64%, up to 389 million euros in the first quarter of 2022. These figures represent almost half of all Spanish exports in the sector and a record for Andalusia in a first quarter since there are comparable records (1995).
ADM Seville is organized by the Ministry of the Presidency, Public Administration and Interior, through Extenda-Andalucía Exports and Foreign Investment, and by the company BCI Aerospace, a specialist in international meetings in the sector. It also has the support of the main manufacturers of the European, Spanish and Andalusian industry: Airbus, the largest European manufacturer in the sector, as the main partner of the event; Aciturri and Alestis, as platinum sponsors; Aernnova, Sofitec, Aerotecnic and Gazc, as gold sponsors; and Grupo Sevilla Control and UMI Aero Group, as silver sponsors.
ADM Seville also counts on the collaboration, as institutional supports, of the rest of the Spanish industry agents, through Tedae (Spanish Association of Technological, Defense, Aeronautics and Space Companies), and the Andalusian one, with Andalucía Aerospace (Andalusian aerospace cluster). Also supporting the event are the IDEA Agency, of the Ministry of Economic Transformation, Industry, Knowledge and Universities, with whom Extenda shares a stand, through the common project ‘Invest in Andalusia’; Aerópolis, Aerospace Park of Andalusia; the Technological Park TecnoBahía de Cádiz; CATEC-Advanced Center for Aerospace Technologies; and Invest in Spain (ICEX), of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism.
The CEO of Extenda, Arturo Bernal, highlighted the “progress in international participation in ADM Seville, which almost reaches 200 attendees, with almost fifty contractors of which two out of three are foreign”. “The main contractors and subcontractors from markets as important as the United States, Canada, France, United Kingdom, Brazil or Italy will attend ADM Seville to explore new business opportunities in this momentum that the industry is experiencing,” he said.
According to Bernal, this is “a bet that turns the Andalusian cluster and its companies into protagonists for a week of international business in the sector, having the opportunity to act as hosts and show their capabilities and facilities to major global contractors”.
24 COUNTRIES REPRESENTED TO DATE
To date, a total of 198 aerospace companies from 24 countries from four continents have registered for this new edition of ADM Seville. Of these, 151 are exhibitors and 47 are contractors.
Of the exhibiting companies, 66 are from abroad, with an outstanding presence of firms based in France (21), Italy (14), Austria (6) and Germany (6), United Kingdom (5), as well as other companies from Canada (2), United States (2), Morocco (2), China (1), India (1), Japan (1), Holland (1), El Salvador (1), Tunisia (1), Romania (1), and Thailand (1). The remaining 85 firms are from national clusters and companies, mostly from Andalusia and Madrid.
On the other hand, 47 contracting companies (OEMs) have registered for the event to date, of which 30 are international and 17 are national. The international OEMs are based in France, Italy, Germany, Argentina, Canada, Argentina, United Kingdom, Turkey, United States, Israel, Pakistan, Belgium, Bulgaria, Ukraine and Uruguay. As in the case of the exhibiting companies, the other 17 contractors are from Andalusia and Madrid.
