M&M – Mecanizados y Montajes Aeronáuticos S. A. has been certified as a Production Organization (POA) by the Spanish Aviation Safety Agency (AESA) with reference ES.21G.0030, which is a new milestone for the Cadiz-based group specialized in the manufacture of metallic elements for aerospace use, as well as in surface and thermal treatments, MRO and R&D.

In this way, M&M becomes part of the reduced list of AOPs approved by EASA with airworthiness and environmental certification for aircraft and related products and components. In the case of the Andalusian company, this certification covers the production of metallic elements and subassemblies, both structural and non-structural.

Domingo Ureña, CEO and president of the business group, pointed out that “this is a big step for M&M, as it places us in a great position within the Tier 2 range of metal manufacturing. This certification comes to recognize the intense work we have been doing in recent years, in which the constant search for excellence in our products and processes, together with a strategy of sustainable growth and expansion, have been key”.

In this sense, it is worth remembering that M&M and Aernnova have recently signed a strategic agreement to promote the aeronautical activity in the Bay of Cadiz and the province, and to improve the positioning to access opportunities in both the national and international markets. This agreement will allow both companies to participate jointly with a wide range of industrial capabilities in the processes of awarding work packages in the aeronautical sector.
