On April 12, the entities associated with the ACTIVAL innovation project (“Towards a more sustainable and competitive aviation through the implementation of active protection technologies and ultrasound-based sensors in aluminum aerostructures”) held a working and follow-up meeting at Titania‘s facilities in Tecnobahía (Chemplate Materials and Innerspec Technologies attended the meeting virtually).

In this meeting, the results of the activities carried out during the 2021 and 2022 annual periods were presented to the CDTI, represented by its Senior Project Manager, Víctor Estrada. Marta Escanciano and Guzmán Domínguez, researchers from the Surface Engineering area, participated on behalf of M&M Group.

They also took the opportunity to visit M&M Group’s facilities in Tecnobahía and Salinas.

It should be remembered that ACTIVAL’s objective is to implement a complete coating process for aeronautical aluminum alloys to prevent surface degradation processes and protect against corrosion processes, in an autonomous and monitorable way. It is expected to be completed by the end of 2024.
