M&M Group has recently obtained the certificate for successfully completing the first edition of the “Training Program: Sustainable Suppliers”, developed by the UN Global Compact (the largest international business sustainability initiative), in collaboration with the ICO Foundation and ICEX Spain Export and Investment.
This program consists of training in specific areas of the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for SME suppliers of large partner companies of the initiative in Spain. It is an international training project, as it focuses not only on Spanish suppliers, but also on suppliers from other countries.
With this certified training, M&M Group is committed to and guarantees compliance with the sustainability standards of large companies with a global impact, as well as learning how to integrate sustainability into the business strategy and how to measure the results achieved.
Program Objectives
- To train the supply chains of large Spanish companies, partners of the initiative in Spain, in the field of sustainability, taking as a reference the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact and the SDGs.
- To offer knowledge and resources to SMEs in Spain and other parts of the world on corporate sustainability based on the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact and the SDGs.
- To help SMEs that supply large Global Compact partner companies to comply with the national, European and international regulatory framework related to sustainability.
- To position Spain as a benchmark in the promotion of corporate sustainability and the contribution to the 2030 Agenda through a pioneering United Nations project.
