MyM Group leads the R&D project AUTOTREAT (New AUTOnomous power supply based on real-time electrochemical measurement for anodising TREATments), selected within the Eurostars-3 program to support innovative SMEs for the development of collaborative and market-oriented transnational projects.

AUTOTREAT, in which the companies Talento Transformación Digital S.L., Helmholtz-Zentrum hereon GmbH and Plating electronic GmbH collaborate together with MyM, has been selected in the Eurostars-3 call 2021 in 2nd position in the Spanish ranking and 17th in the whole of Europe. The project is scheduled to start in August and will last 30 months.

The objective of this project is the development of an autonomous power supply capable of adjusting to the electrochemical parameters in real time of one of the most widely used surface treatments in the aerospace sector: anodizing.

The control unit of the rectifier will be developed by the consortium throughout the project, thus guaranteeing the quality of the process and reducing the number of defective parts, avoiding the optimal selection of the anodizing parameters through a trial and error procedure. In addition, this development contributes to guarantee the quality of the process and to reduce the number of defects and waste.

About Eurostars

In force since 2008, Eurostars currently involves 37 states and the joint public funding commitment for the period 2021-2027 exceeds one billion euros.

Eurostars promotes economic activity based on the results of R&D projects and the rapid introduction of products, processes and services on the market. To this end, it secures public funding directed to participating SMEs through grants.

One of the most noteworthy aspects of this program is the leading role played by the SMEs that lead an international consortium, normally small in size (2-3 partners from 2-3 countries).

The evaluation of proposals, managed by the Eureka Secretariat, is centralized and independent. On the other hand, the partners from the participating countries receive the funds directly from their national funding agency: in the case of Spain, the CDTI is the managing agency through the Interempresas Internacional call.
